A reminder to all.....

I was laying in bed tonight and I couldn't get out of my mind what happened with this cute little boy today!!  Hopefully it will remind us all that even when our kids are in our house we can never be too careful!!

So I was talking with my mom on the phone, Eric was painted the back door, Garrett, Camri and Madison were outside playing with friends and Boston was in the kitchen with me just playing around.  I continued talking on the phone and thought to myself where is Boston??  I casually got off the phone with my mom and told her well I better get off the phone and see where Boston went.

I noticed the garage door was shut and walked to the front door and it was locked. As I looked out the window I saw Madison and her friend Olivia at the far corner house that leads to the main road which is 13400 South.  I opened the door and yelled to Madison and Olivia that they had gone too far and they needed to come back.  I walked back in the house and started yelling for Boston.  I had no idea where he had gone.  Next thing I knew my neighbor Julie was walking to my door holding Boston.  She told me that he was on 13400!!  Two ladies were driving down a 13400 and saw him standing in the road and pulled into the neighborhood and asked Julie if she had any little children.  She said, no.  They continued to tell her that there was a 1 year old boy in the road!!  Julie ran over and when she got to the road she saw Boston, he had moved the sidewalk.

I honestly couldn't believe what she was telling me!!  If we are outside we never walk over to that part of the neighborhood.  I couldn't believe that Boston had walked all the way over there.  Immediately I started thinking of how bad the outcome could've been.  Thank you for the two ladies that came to try to find help and  thank you Julie for bringing Boston back!!

I asked Madison and Olivia if Boston followed them over there and they said, "No they were going to get Boston."

I immediately called my mom back and told her where Boston was found!!  She preceded to tell me something that I will never forget, "It just shows you how fast little kids can disappear."  It can really happen in a matter of minutes even when they are standing in the kitchen with you.

When we were back in the house I kept telling Boston, "No, Boston we do not go in the road!!"  He just looked at me and smiled!!  Hopefully he means, sorry mom I won't do it again!

As moms I feel like we are all always keeping an eye on our kids but today it proved to me how fast they can disappear.  I am so thankful that my little Boston is okay!!
